Because when they were destroying it, they were on so many drugs they couldn’t piss straight, and now they’re all born-again religious zealots denying the existence of ecology.

Yeah, thanks to the baby boomers, the place will be global-warmed to death! Luckily, the Cap and Trade Tax will save all of us from the sun coming down and ending our very existence.
Seriously though, I am not all that impressed by the baby boomers. They were the pretentious "hippies" in the last 60’s, the yuppies in the 80’s and the progressive-yippies over the past ten years that decided to play Donald Trump and did their fair part in completely jacking up the real estate market. I did my fair share of acid myself but feel as if I would’ve known better than to think that I could be a real estate mogul in California.
Destroyed the Earth? Turn off the TV and go outside.

Since your parents are probably baby boomers, ask them if they would solve it for you like they have solved all of your problems for you since birth. Baby boomers are the ones who started recycling, thinking green, Earth Day and all that other good stuff that saves – not destroys the earth. Check into other countries and their responsibilities. The US and the baby boomer generation, and all the American generations before it have created the best country in the world. Love it or leave it, if you can actually find better. And yes, I am a baby boomer.
Wow. How have we destroyed the earth? The sun rises and sets every day. We still have 4 seasons per year. Plants are growing, etc.
Do we have some pollution? You betcha. But it is a hell of a lot better today than in was in 1964 and it will continue to get better.
This whole man made global climate change is a bunch of baloney. I live in Ohio and we had glaciers here over 10,000 years ago. Did the dinosaurs melt them by driving their SUV’s around? Its a natural cycle brother. So quit the whine.
I have to disagree.. We ALL have contributed to the quality of the earth..it is not simply the baby boomers actions.. they did not start the decline either, mastered it probably but start… certainly not! the bottom line it is everyone’s responsibility I own up to my part.. your turn..

This is perhaps the most baseless rant I’ve read today.
I think that this is an asinine absurd question. With no foundation.
They were spoiled as children.
They aren’t called the "ME" generation for nothing.
They didn’t "destroy" the Earth but the economy is another story.
Look to yourself every time you crank your car or turn on a light switch in your house cause you are contributing too.
You think that’s bad? We’ll have plenty of time thinking about it while the earth get’s finished off by the boom in far more densely populated areas of the world.
We have not destroyed the earth. We have vandalized the Constitution, the Education system, the traditional family, the American dream, the innocence of childhood, religion, the traditions and institutions that have protected freedom in America and generally left future generations with an unprecedented disaster they will be mopping up for generations to come.
I am a Conservative Baby Boomer. I have been fighting against this for over 50 years now. Let me apologize for the selfish, self-absorbed, deceitful permanent children who comprise much of the Baby Boom Generation. Many of us chose never to leave adolescence.
I implore you to learn from our mistakes. When we were children the streets were save, there was no sexual content in movies, TV shows or music. Children were not sexualized into mini-adults. Our childhoods were filled with fun, safety and exuberance most of you will no longer be allowed to experience.
We have done a lot of stupid damage. It is up to you to take back America and put it on the right track. Listen to the Conservatives not the Liberals.
Conservatism is the key.

That’s right, it’s not the fascist right, or the feminist, or corporations, or the Illuminati, or the Zionist, it’s the entire generation of the US baby boomers who needs to vilified because when they start retiring en mass, social services like social security can’t be given to them after they paid for it, but it has to be taken away and given to the rich Zionist bankers who are getting all our money already from bailouts, and if social security isn’t destroyed, it will just make the destruction of the US 5% slower, and who would want that?
What is being destroyed isn’t the Earth.
It’s humanity.
It is morals. And good judgment.
If Global warming is caused by all the pollutants put in the air, I am sure your generation isn’t responsible for any of that right?
Over population causes the demand for more land , fuel,and food. but takes those resources and abuses them.
But unwanted, and teen pregnancy, doesn’t count does it?
American’s over spend and over extend ourselves. You can’t blame someone else for your bad decisions. It is your hand that signs on the dotted line.
Today people want instant gratification, and live well beyond their means. Blew up in everyone’s face huh ? Those greedier than you got all the big bucks huh ? Too sad.. People did this to themselves.
Most Boomers are the back bone of America. Hard working, with morals and decency, they have a sense of family , neighbors and community.They fought for your freedoms, and advanced your technology. They are the ones that will suffer the most, losing everything they worked hard for all their lives. Retirement funds, bank accounts, insurance for health care, their homes, just when they need it.. Some have lost everything, and at their age are having to start over.
They now have to bail America, out of this mess. And your generation will be the beneficiary.
Your generation has a bunch of problems. You never heard of drive by’s and gang banging, and all this street violence, from boomers.
And the statements about drug use.. well that’s the pot calling the kettle black. Plenty of drugs around today…
Lack of respect for anything , now that’s destroying the earth.. You want to take responsibility ?
Poor baby boomers, we don’t get any respect at all.
When we protested the war, we were hated.
When we marched for racial justice we were spit on.
When we demonstrated against the draft, we were arrested.
When we sat in trees we were derided as treehuggers.
When we supported free speech we were labeled immoral.
We were not only fighting for a clean environment we went to jail for it.
Who do you think started the fight to clean up the Hudson? The reefs? the water and air?
Tell me, exactly what have you done in your years besides obviously not studied modern history?

Perhaps you got confused when you destroyed the earth many times during the six hours that you were playing video games yesterday ?
What about liberals and their social engineering projects of the 1970s? You know, the social housing "terror towers" in many large cities that have been since torn down. Ones we are still paying for.

Baby Boomers were generally at the beginning of their teens in the late 50`s, early 60`s so were not of the age for the destruction.

We obviously have not done enough and now in our later years need to finish what we started.
