My Boomer Tips
I' a baby boomer and I am a little greedy and materialistic.
But why do we get labelled this way? Don't we all want to be rich and have stuff??
I'm 52 and well to do financially.

It has to do with the era in which they were brought up. Most boomers were raised in the 1950s and 60s. These were eras of great prosperity and plenty. The adults of the era had just gone trough two decades of sacrifice and shortage (the Depression and WW2) so they places more value on obtaining and maintaing physical and material wealth. Since the boomers were brought up in this environment, that is what they know and that is how they live. This may also be reinforced by the various economic booms in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
so you are saying you are in your 50s?
or 60s.
Well, thats cause your generation is worried about money and always has been. and did anything to get it. Even if it meant walking over people. And they were selfish.
While my generation just partying to much, blew all their money and never worried about being financially stable (which is why we are in a recision).
Its coming back around, teenagers now are working with better ethic than they ever have. And learning to save money. But they also are selfish, hate talking to people on the phone, love texting. They hide, screen their phonecalls and all kind of things that say "your on my time". So its a win/lose situation.
Cause maybe you just admitted to being greedy and materialistic…….but i think younger generations are more materialistic cause they judge alot about a person based on what someone has
They do? My parents are the opposite, they’re baby boomers
