    @materiom I can top that.

I graduated college at 25 because my father died when I was 19 & I had to go home to take care of my mother. I have a BFA in Computer Graphics (I can make Pixar characters on my computer.)

  2. shadowkitty56

@materiom However, I’ve been living at home for nearly 2 years because there aren’ t many hirings in my field anymore. Traditionally you are supposed to get freelance jobs to prove yourself & build up a track record….but because companies can’t afford to hire as much temporary work I have been stuck doing odd jobs & getting a lot of doors slammed in my face.

  3. shadowkitty56

@materiom Boomers call me a bum because I am stuck still at home. Because what I do is so specialized it is hard to get other jobs beyond McJobs (barely pays groceries/car.) They have the balls to tell me to go get work in Singapore where a lot of graphics is outsourced if I am so desparate-but if a G.I. generation guy said the same thing 40 yrs ago, the Boomers would’ve thrown a tantrum. I want to work in America for a decent wage: what is wrong with that??!

I remember when I was 21, and knew everyrhing. My parents were so ignorant. It was awesome.

When I reached 25, my jerk parents got to be so much smarter than me. I had to ask them about career, investments, mortgages, relationships. blah blah blah. And they had the answers. What smug assholes.

When I reached 30, I learned that I was responsible for my own success or failure. Why? Sucks.

Short version– Stop being a pussy and make your own way in the world.

    A Gen X-er

a few more points— I strongly agree with your views on limited government. My issues have more to do with constitutionality than ethics,.Boomers weren’t the first or even the worst at growing government inappropriately.

The “thought control” part of your video was just rambling, though., IMO. Again, boomers aren’t the first or near the worst for that (“Patriot Act” aside– I chalk that up as a mistake born of fear). Your political science and sociology professors have let you down.

The worst are those born between 1945 and 1950 . Greatness to them was woodstock . And they’re peace and love is great till you disgree. Then it turns to hate .
They demand entilements they don’t deserve .
They gamble on wall street and when they fail . they cry for a bail out . And they’re reason is “we are to big to fail” WHAT?

I’m 38 making me solid Generation X. My parents are from the Silent Generation.

And the boomers do absolutely suck. The run the entire federal government now, and they are running the nation into the ground.

“SEX, DRUGS, AND ROCK N ROLL!”… hmmmm well it seems today that boomers like to tell young people “Just say NO to drugs… Abstain from sex!” and the rock n roll was sold to commercials … The boomers sold their values out to get rich and fat

  9. KamWhitakay

wow i love this guy. you are right on.

  10. ciscoisdef1

    I totally agree with you!

I needed this video right now, thank you! The truth is that baby-boomers were the last generation that could extract meaning and originality from living as flawed human beings. They marked the apex of humanity’s adolescence, in my opinion. Until we make humanity less flawed (through education and new standards, NOT eugenics), every generation after the boomers will live in their anti-climatic shadow. Everyone, young and old, must not let that happen.

  12. BEEBEE159

The BB’s are so out there. My parents are BB’s, and they don’t give a damn about family (i.e. spending time w/ their grandchildren). They refuse to see what’s going on in the world. They are totally self-consumed. I live in FL, the retirement capital, and it is amazing to see the BB’s living in walled and gated communities, with rules about everything. Believe it or not some neighborhoods even prohibit children. They are total psychos; and unfortunately younger people are following their lead.

  13. Trewolla

You’re attributing the actions of society’s elite to a generation. After every boomer is dead and buried, you’ll have the elite of your own generation ruling your life.

The ruling class is *not* a generational phenomena. Tilt at the boomer windmill if you choose, but don’t expect such a display to slay the real dragon.

  14. riethc

The real trouble with Baby Boomers is that they don’t believe that you can know truth, therefore they act irrationally. They can’t solve problems on the large scale. They can’t have a solid world view. They either believe that it’s all up to an authority to tell them what to do, or to have no authority at all.

  15. boogiefever1985

It was the baby boomers that did it- they tried to make money out of absolutely everything. They were the ones that said hey let’s get rid of bank staff and replace them with ATMs. Let’s get rid of the young guy that helps old people take their groceries to the car. Let’s stop sending people their airline ticket in the mail, we’ll make them print it out themselves. Let’s stop filling people’s cars up with gas for them, let’s fuckin make them do it themselves! Shit shit shit

  16. real934

    Boomers are a FUCKING JOKE!

  17. friedie1jeff

Besides the obvious, I wonder what this guy’s problem is.

Shitface didn’t have to worry about being drafted because of what the Boomers did for him. And that’s only one way in which his life was changed.

What we hear in this film is from somebody who will blame everyone else in the world for his own failures. If he took a hard look at himself and was honest with himself, he would realize that it is he that is responsible for his own failings, and not anyone else or any other generation.

  18. MrRuigni

@boogiefever1985 and such a wonderful world they created..NOT

  19. MrRuigni

@riethc Or live by an “appearance is everything” society.

  21. MrRuigni

  22. MrRuigni

    A+ video.

@psx2514 George was right. So where u…

I feel like the only way this country will change is when most of the so called “greatest generation’ (who are just a bunch of old racists) and the baby boomers die off. The baby boomers are complteley self obsessed. They are driven by solely by narcissim. you are right they are destroyng this country. Your generation and mine ( X, we suck too) are screwed for the rest of our lives because of their decisions. preach on.

  25. ritter89

@Trewolla Exactly. I was thinking that this guy needs to take (or retake) some 101 courses in economics, sociology, politics, psychology, comparative religion, philosophy, etc. Prior to the early 90s, the only people who used the term ‘generation’ on a regular basis were sociologists. These days, it’s used as a marketing tool to attract consumers(boomers, x, y, millennials, etc).
