If the demographers are right in their projections, the burden that caring for the old will be reduced so people will have an improved standard of living. However the technology changes will probably matter more than demographics.

well technically we would have a pretty big need for workers. they make up a large part of our current workforce.

Don’t worry. The Chinese will rule the U.S. by then.
You’ll be working for .80/hr & healthcare will be aspirin & band aids.
