My Boomer Tips

Help me think of good presents for these two people, both having birthdays in just a few days.

Person #1 -

Male, single but has a girlfriend, turning 41
Extremely health-conscious, eats exclusively organic food and drinks almost no alcohol
Recently lost a grandmother so needs positivity
Style best described as "business goth"
Owns a nice two-bedroom home
Interested in 20th century political history, environmentalism, and movies
Cooks simply but often; I was thinking about cookware as a gift

Person #2

Male, single (no girlfriend), turning 47
Vegan and pretty health-conscious, but does drink
Interested in movies, science, classical music, and animal rights
Plays the flute
Owns a home, but does not care about decorating, etc.
Style best described as conservative (but not politically conservative)
Suffers from severe back problems and frequently seeks solutions such as massage, iso tank, etc.

For each person, I am looking for something in the price range of - dollars, and something I could go buy this week, rather than ordering online. (There's not enough time.)

Person 1- Cookbooks. They are my favorite gift to recieve! If you check out the Jean Pare Company’s Coming selection, you can find things like basic ingredient ones, 4 or 5 ingredient ones, rookie ones, ones for entertaining and adding fancy touches, and everything in between! And the best part is, they are available basically anywhere! You could also try historical books, or if you’re not sure which books his preference would be, get a gift card to a local bookstore.

Person 2- Depending what he drinks, a bottle can usually land somewhere in that range. You could also get him a gift card to a local health food store, or check if they have a book he might be interested in. You’d be amazed at how many books they carry on different eating habits, how to choose items, stuff like that. You could also get him a gift certificate for a massage, or pick up a self massage tool at most department stores.

I personally am not a fan of gift cards, I find them quite impersonal so I always try to actually find something. However, in a pinch, they can be great! You can also get reloadable visas, so they can purchase anything anywhere.
