My Boomer Tips
The 1950's was a very industrious decade. Great inventions, the suburbs and baby boomers all came from the 50's but was that all that happened? I want people to educate themselves about the past and not to accept what is given to them in white washed history books. There where many more things wrong
with the 50s too. It doesn’t matter how
amazing the economy was then or how
respected the military was or how low
crime was. Human beings where being
treated like Shit because of their Gender
and Race.
this would work great as in an intro to the 1950′s followed by another video about segregation and racism
what happened to women? they had it easier ? they were treated like ladies? or is there something i dont know?
women were abused and people did not talk about such problems…. silence for victims was the order of the day…
White wives and black men where treated like shit in the 50′s. No wonder they started fucking each other.

@9N8X Wife abuse happened in the 50′s,but it never was legal and we still have defacto racial segregation today
Yeah now all the movies that I watch has em with the fine chicks.
I love the comments but lets be clear about the difference between free speech and hate speech. I will not tolerate the latter.
I tend to look at the society as a whole, and find that the 1950′s still stand far and away as a better time and place than the decrepit and broken one of today. It’s shameful what the blacks had to endure during that time period but it was also that great generation of WW2 who put an end to it. All decades and all peoples have their ups and downs, good and bads, rights and wrongs … and I’ll take the 50′s against any other decade any day of the week.
And also the most intolerant, paranoid, conformist, ultraconservative and racist era in Modern American history. Undeniable fact in the light of Civil Rights movement oppositions, prominent anti-science mindset (until Sputnik), McCarthyism, etc. How the hell do some modern people think this was a good time i have no idea

@ALBIONTYKE the 1950s sucked. the 20 th century sucked except for the part befor ww1 other than that the 50s and every decade of the 20th century sucked. the 1950s were one of the worst times ever. 1800s were better. 1800s>1950s 19th century>20 th century. oh and the suburbs sucked and still do. f the 50s

This was fantastic! 50s rocked. Then the 60s changed all that.

one of the reasons why canada and the usa are such great countries is because we have multiculturalism! we have more love and acceptace from people now then we ever did. that’s the way ir should be! i LOVE when i see different flags from all over the world..hearing different national anthems..it actually gives me the chills cause i understand what it means to people. it still shocks me that people STILL r ignorant and racist.. my god people…lets move forward not in reverse.
