They have singlehandedly bankrupted social security, medicare - but conveniently, it will last JUST long enough for them to use up. THEY get the full benefit of it, but as soon as they finally die off, the system will be destroyed and the rest of us will have to work until we're 90 years old and our taxes will be increased. If we complain about higher taxes, we're told to stop whining and be patriotic. They have also destroyed the healthcare industry in general and will force nationalized healthcare on everyone in the country. THEY didn't have to suffer through such crap while they were growing up and through their working life, but now they want to impose is on the younger people.
The baby boomers also opened up the flood gates for illegal and legal immigration from the Third World, which is contributing massively to crime and the further bankruptcy of hospitals and social services.
The baby boomers are mostly responsible for the credit crisis, which was caused by their liberal do-gooder laws forcing banks to lend money to poor people and minorities in the name of fairness. Fortunately, this is the only problem that they are suffering the worst from. It's ravaging their stock and fund holdings and destroying their pensions and 401ks and i am relishing every minute of it 
Will the subsequent generations who take over industry and politics think about the future , or will they also hog every thing for themselves?
My main question is this.
Why did the Baby Boomers squander everything for themselves, but now want to take it all away now that they are in power but ready for the grave soon.
They lived like HOGS, but now they want to take away rights, privileges, and richness that they enjoyed their whole lives.
The younger people are the ones who will pay for their piggishness, yet these old farts have the nerve to be preachy and condescending towards us if we want to have what they've always had. They didn't have to suffer through illegal aliens, universal healthcare, global warming hoaxes, etc. But they expect everyone else to play by these onerous and destructive rules.

shows .5 trillion in assets.
Lets eliminate uncertainties associated with increasing longevity and assume that .5 trillion would be enough to cover baby boomers without reaching into the savings of next generations.
In that case should the assets be in the form of say gold bullion, and the Treasury was still free of debt, then I would say that contributions of baby boomers were sufficient for the retirement.
It is not the case however. So,

When the men of the Greatest Generation, who served in World War II, came home, they produced one of the most destructive generations to the once great country we know as America.
The Baby Boomers were the ones who:
-introduced drugs, specifically marijuana, to mainstream society
-spit at the soldiers who served in Vietnam
-took prayer out of schools in 1962
-took the 10 Commandments out of office buildings
-brought homosexuality into mainstream society
-whine that God is brought up too much in society
I have heard Baby Boomers themselves admit that their generation destroyed America.

the "baby boomer" generation is undoubtedly the laziest, most selfish generation who first mooched off the hard work of their parents, then each other, and now their children and grandchildren!! Even worst, boomers seem to have entitlement issues and believe all following generations to be inferior. They ruin American society, economy, and environment and now expect their kids to work for their indulgent lifestyles? And then complain how "evil" the world has become and brainwash their kids into thinking THEY are the worst generation? please, you turned America into a huge wreck (and continue to do so) but please don't expect your offspring to pay for you. Again, the question is why do boomers ruin america and then hate on this generation AND expect to be paid for?
oh yeah i'm not talking about individual boomers. just the generation as a whole. no offense.
its true the boomers invented the internet. but that is just one invention. the boomers didn't on a whole make any great contributions to society other than to themselves. for examples, the "right to choose" women's movement didn't actually give women any substantial civil rights.

I am doing a short comparasion paper on the differnences between Generation X and Baby Boomers. I can't use the Wikipedia site because it's not very reliable. What are some good reference websites about the cultures of each ot the generations?
