I don’t think you understood H2F’s point. How would any other generation (or even any other country) have reacted differently from the “baby boomers” considering the leadership of americans that predated the baby boomers? Woodward & Bernstein were nothing without Deep Throat. You wanted the Kennedys and MLK to speak out when they were born?
Another great video, I do want to add that the Baby Boomers were too young to protest President Kennedy who did start us into Vietnam with the so called military advisers aka elite special forces and CIA…. What the Baby Boomers did to the returning troops from Vietnam was probably their darkest hour.
Thanks. Not everyone treated our vets that way. Most of them were ignored and ridiculed by the whole population. Especially our government. There is enough blame to go around to everyone. It was a shame and a travestry.
President Kennedy did send in advisors to Vietnam, but it was Johnson who escalated that war into what it became.
I think every generation has a laundry list of its own that includes some negative marks. And you’re right, Murrow and “Woodstein” definitely had a lot in common.
So much to say about all this. Looking forward to more of these vids.
Woodward was born in 1943, Bernstein was born in 1944. By your definition, they aren’t Baby Boomers.
Man you really keep my honest don’t you lol. I’m enjoying you.
It was actually President Dwight D. Eisenhower who got us started in Viet Nam. Kennedy had the Cuban missle crisis to contend with, so I doubt that he paid that much attention to Viet Nam.

It’s true, it did all start with Eisenhower, but I wonder if Eisenhower would have escalated tensions to the point it had become. Good point
I miss our mirrors while we are dancing. No sports bars for me. I rather stay home…the younger generations don’t know what we are talking about. It was a real experience!
Sport bars are very boring, especially when you had it all in the 60′s and 70′s. Things kind of went backwards! Boring as hell!
Cookie cutter bars you mena? Yep
I didn’t know that term, but I miss them!
Yep, so do I…………
Fringe, your a very smart lady! You know so much,
When John F Kennedy was assinated, I was in the grocery store with my babys,I cried. I went home closed my blinds, and watched his assination film. I cried, and cried.I don’t think I had anymore tesrs left. I don’t think Lee Harvey Oswald did it, Whene the film showed the bullet impact John’s head flew backward, he was shot from the front,ie three wounds were blamed on one bullet. The Library was behind the president.
Oh I will never forget that day. I was in high school when over the loud speaker came an announcement from our principle. I cried for days. I think something died in this country that day and we’ve never gotten it back.
Smart I don’t know but when you live through the 60′s as you and I did, the world is different then the kids of today. Thanks so much. I think we had to grow up faster.
I know what you mean. ..it was like a peace of my soul got ripped out of me. I hsve never cried so much. Since JFK, we have not had a President like him. Jackie Kennedy was a real lady and I admired her so much.
Jackie Kennedy was like our queen, I loved them together. The only other President we’ve had that I loved Clinton, in many ways he reminded me of JFK, BUT no one touches John in my book. That was the saddest day in my life. I’ll never forget it, plus trying to explain that camelot feeling to the younger crowd is impossible. To them he was just another President. I think that’s so sad.
It’s not that she’s smart it’s just that you’re more stupid than she is.
