Are the current unemployment expansions within a properly reasoned expectation of retirements?
Yes, they drop out if they do not seek re-employment... Many go on to seek work when they retire as a second income provided their retirement plan does not bisbar it.
So we need to determine what percentages of those who typically retire seek re-employment and compare those to current retiring workers.

    Retirement is not considered unemployment. When baby boomers retire from the workforce, they may actually open jobs for those of us who just graduate college or just entered the workforce. So unemployment could have the potential to decline.

    none. retirees drop out of the workforce,
    so they do not count as unemployed.
