Do we need the influx of illegal immigrants to supplant the rapidly aging Baby Boom population?

My Boomer Tips
I have been told that as the millions of Baby Boomers age, the United States may face a lack of labor, leading us to outsource even MORE of our work to other nations--some, namely China, which don't necessarily have our best interests at heart. The immigrant population is needed to keep these jobs in the United States, for our economy and our society. Do you think so? Or have I heard incorrectly?

Why should we!! Most baby boomers won’t be able to retire for another 15 years or so at the current retirement age of 65. Talk is that congress is considering raising the retirement age to 70 or 75. Most at retirement age now are unable to retire.
yes we need immigrants. both legal and illegal immigrants contribute to the U.S. economy.
Your heard incorrectly if more illegals are better let us ship them back to Mexico to save their own nation and supplement the rapidly aging Mexican population
how is having millions on welfare going to supplement millions on social security?
That is the line put forth by the democrat party to support their real goal of granting amnesty to all the illegals and then giving them "fast track" citizenship so that they can vote for democrat candidates as soon as possible.
The biggest problem with that is that baby boomers are much more productive and use far fewer services than unskilled laborers with 8 kids. You will end up with a net fiscal deficit from that plan, but you’ll have millions more democrat voters.
Think hard about what is in the best interest of your country. I guarantee the politicians aren’t!
You heard incorrectly. Any labor shortage in America can be supplanted by legal immigration and legal work visas. There are hundreds of millions of people who wish that they could come to America. They just happen to not live in Mexico where it’s fairly easy to cross the border illegally.
They could not replace baby boomers.98% of illegal aliens have no high school diploma. So how would they be able to do the jobs that baby boomers leave open.Baby boomers are not all fruit pickers and maids.Millions of Americans are without a job so why would we need to look else where for a work force when we already have one that can not find work?
Bah, humbug! Look at the numbers of births in the Statistical Abstracts of the United States. More babies are being born per year than during the Baby Boom. There aren’t even enough jobs to keep the Boomlets employed anymore. The last thing the US needs is any immigration whatsoever, especially not immigration-law violators.
People having fewer babies per couple does NOT mean fewer babies. More people having kids, even at a somewhat lower rate, still means increasing numbers of kids. And we cannot provide for all the ones being born as it is. Cannot provide jobs for those who were born here.
There’s NO shortage of labor. With 31 million Americans unemployed and desperately seeking jobs, plus another @50 million American working-age adults currently out of the workforce, there’s no reason whatsoever to expect that the current labor glut can become gainfully employed within the next two decades. There will not be any labor shortage for the foreseeable/forecastable future. Nothing whatsoever indicates any genuine possibility of any labor shortage.
Some idiots have been looking at the wrong statistics, or are too ignorant of statistics and demographics themselves, or are trying to deceive the sheeple for their own political ends. With ZERO immigration for the next two decades, we will still have a labor glut.
Outsourcing is not a response to a labor shortage – millions of people wanted to keep those jobs. Outsourcing is due solely to extremely high tax burdens on businesses and to labor regulations which further increase costs & tax burdens. The US has the second highest tax burden on businesses in the world. This is what makes the US (and the US worker) uncompetitive on world markets despite the US worker still being the most productive worker on the planet.
no, and we are not aging any more rapidly than anyone else. If anything, we might be able to push back the retirement age a bit
Too many Baby Boomers will be retiring and collecting social security. Most Immigrants have at least 4-8 children; Americans only have 1-2 kids. You do the math. The only way to provide social security to the Baby Boomers and others collecting social security are with immigrants. Sorry, that’s the reality, and with it …..the country?
We might as well outsource the government to China. With 10% unemployment (its really 20% and we are in a depression, but the government doesn’t want you to know that) how can anyone say we have a labor shortage? The government and media continue to lie to us about that so we can support our own destruction.
Baby boomer entitlements will be the final nail in the coffin. We need to just admit that the USA is dead. I don’t see anything changing for the better without freeing ourselves from the Washington DC regime that holds us back.
