It seems like all the Gen X and Millenialls are screwed for life because the Baby Boomers are selfish. It seems like all they cared about was how much money they made in the 80s and 90s.
They all bought big, ugly McMansions, and expensive cars. And now in the 2000s the economy crashed and they're in debt. And all these stimulus bills are going to make all the kids, teens, and young adults of today have no future because we will have to pay off what our parents did to us.
All the Baby Boomer bosses and CEOs are making it harder to get a job and become successful. In order to make a decent living, you have to have a masters degree now. And the Baby Boomers are raising the college costs. In 20 years, nobody will go to college or be successful.
And let's not forget about Social Security and Medicare in the next ten years...
And don't forget.. Dubya.
Fistycuffs - Many of the Millenials havent bought homes. The GenXers maybe, but is it their fault it's so hard to buy a home nowadays? 20 years from now every McMansion development will sit vacant because nobody can afford them.
There’s plenty of truth to your argument. Just look at how much harder it is for a young person to make it today compared to what it was back then.
edit: Trust me, they’re not gonna let McMansion stay vacant. They’ll definitely find some way to lower the price.
I am a Baby Boomer. I say yes, the BB’s have left quite a wasteland.
It wasn’t me, but I saw it in many of my contemporaries.
To some extent yes but the real damage started with their parents the so called greatest generation.
I know right? So much for children having a better life than their parents. Baby Boomers have forever broken that tradition–it’s every man for himself now.
Baby Boomers will go down in history and the generation that got selfish and greedy and made life hard for generations of young people to come.
I’m a boomer and no, it was not us who bought expensive homes and foreclosed. It is the generation after us – yours. We made money, you did not but you were jealous and greedy and bought homes YOU could not afford and YOU fked up our economy.
AND WE STILL HAVE OUR HOMES AND MORE MONEY THAN YOU
I have three homes and rent them out to your generation when you lost your homes and had no where else to go.
