The Government of the United Socialist States of America, is and always will be a lying self serving entity. They made us pay into the Social Insecurity system, a tax. Then changed the contract and taxed
our retirement, another tax. I have even heard that the system is going broke and may not last another 20 years. No one has ever heard that the special pensions reserved for our elected officials, might go broke.
They get kickbacks, payoffs, salaries, and pensions. Take these away and there would be very few who would be patriotic enough to put duty before self. The Honorable elected officials along with the Illegal Honorable elected officials of Organized Crime.

to cookie….yes i was upset. i am a nurse and everyday i see how the system is ravaged by really sick and dying people and their cost to health care. i am not dumb and blind.
Not providing health care will not save the government anything on social security… it may be there for a bit longer but it won’t actually "save" anything in the long run.
This is why i’m for universal health care, we all pay a certain amount of taxes for our health care, we get the costs of malpractice insurance down, the cost of schooling the doctors down, the cost of medical supplies down, and well, basically everything else down as well..and we pay for it out of our pockets.. ALL OF US!

Who is saying that baby boomers need to accept their fate? I have paid into the social security program for over 30 years. I eat healthy, I am a cyclist, and very active. So now are you the one who is saying I should not get social security? Are you saying all baby boomers should just die? I don’t think so and BTW, you also will become old too some day if your lucky.
Can you believe this is happening? Who would have thought a year ago we would be where we are today.

That’s what happens when the government controls health care: then government, not you, makes the choices of who gets it… and who DOESN’T.
And that’s how Obama and the other socialist Dumocrats plan to addict Americans to government health care — by promising government-provided goodies to enough voters to make it law.
Amber W: are you really that naive? Universal, which means government-provided, health care won’t lower prices. When did the government do ANYTHING more efficiently or cheaper than the private sector? Universal health care will just mean that we’ll all get the same crappy, third-rate, rationed health care as socialist Europe and Canada — except for the rich, who will still be able to afford quality health care outside the lousy system that the government will compel the rest of us to use.
And "ALL OF US" won’t pay, ALL of us NEVER pay, it’s always the tax-payers who support the non-tax-payers; it will just be more socialism, more transfer of wealth by the government from the producers to the sick, lame and lazy non-producers. If all health care was privately-operated and pay-as-you-go, with no health insurance of any kind, THEN costs would come down because everybody in health care would have to truly compete for your business like other industries.
Prison Officer: the US government is whoever the voters elect. If you and your friends and neighbors keep electing liberal Dumocrats into government who work to establish a socialist big government that everybody is addicted to at the expense of your liberty and your wallet, is that government’s fault, or yours? Who have you been voting for?
