Baby shower gift idea. ?

About 2 months from now my sister will be having a baby shower. My sister and I are best friends but I truly suck at giving gifts. A good friend of hers asked me advice on what to get her/the baby that she'll love. I told her anything with his name on it. It didn't matter what because my sister loves personalized stuff.
So heres my situation, I was going to make a basket of stuff she'll need. Everyone I've told said it's a great idea. The other day i bumped into my grandmother who keeps buying my sister little hangers, books, clothes, bottles etc. Basically any and everything I would have put in the basket, so when I told her my gift idea she didn't sound too impressed. So I thought i'd make it a little more personal and design a picture that I'd put in a frame of the baby's name. But would that be taking away from my sister's friend? Kinda of like copying her or taking her shine? Should I scrap my idea all together or just continue with it?
A picture is nice for your sister, but it won’t actually be of any use to the baby.
You could get a cute towel/washer set embroidered with the baby’s name, or a custom made name sign for the nursery door. A playmat is a FANTATSIC gift (like a Jungle Gym), a padded mat with archway over the top which has toys hanging off it – the mat plays music too – great for baby’s sensory development and totally entertaining for more than a year!
this gift idea i got my best frind and she love it and use it every day. it a bit expensive from the $30 you ask for but this is a good idea.

do both. make a basket with stufff like clothes, hooded towels and wash cloths are a great gift, toys and some other stuff she might have on her registry, then throw in something personalized. it should matter what anyone else is giving her. you are her sister and putting thought and feeling into the gift is what is important
A blender for making food purees when the baby is 6 months
You could get her a personalised baby photo album and then one of those ‘my first year’ picture frames. The one where you put a picture for every month of his first life in. Also I think the little curl and tooth keep sake trinket boxes are so sweet. You can get all these things personalised. Does she know the sex? Disney store do gorgeous plush minnie and mickey mouse teddies with blankets that can be personalised.

Diapers and Baby wipes!! Size 1, not newborn! If you want it to be really cool, make her a diaper cake and fill the middle with wipes, I got some really cute tube like ones in the CVS, for my baby shower and it was the best!!! Also in the dollar store I found some butt paste, cheap version, and it works great for the baby, he is almost 3 months and has NEVER had a diaper rash, stick it in the middle of the cake or on the sides. She will remember the gift because it’s pretty and thank you because it’s SO USEFUL. And the picture as a cake topper

Many are for after the baby is born because they can also have the birthday, time, weight, etc… added. But for a baby shower, when you know the name, here are some of my favorites:
Personalized DIaper Bags (that you could stuff with wipes, diapers, etc…)
Engraved Baby Cups & Utensils – these can become treasured heirlooms
Handprints Tower of Time – for the 1st 5 years
ALso – something really cute you could do is give the baby a onesie or Bib that reads something like. "I Love My Aunt (your name) vey much!", or "My Aunt (your name) loves me very much!)
