My Boomer Tips

I was thinking about how my dad would put the old double-edged blades in that little slot, and wondered how common that was. I googled it, and a story by a home inspector who ran across a home full of them popped up! What a strange thing this seems in our day & age.

We were remodeling the above-the-garage apartment on our property and came across a razor slot. My husband actually cut himself on one that was stuck between a couple of 2x4s. At the bottom of the framing he found a pile of about 200 old, rusty razor blades.

There’s one in the medicine cabinet of our 1940′s house! I’d love to know how many old razors are down inside the walls.

There are so many things from the past that we forget till someone reminds us of them.
I remember those razor reservoirs/ We never had one on our medicine cabinet. (just one) but I do remember them on other peoples medicine cabinets. How about the shaving mugs where dad always lathered up his shaving cream. No aerosol cans then!
