My Boomer Tips
When the men of the Greatest Generation, who served in World War II, came home, they produced one of the most destructive generations to the once great country we know as America.
The Baby Boomers were the ones who:
-introduced drugs, specifically marijuana, to mainstream society
-spit at the soldiers who served in Vietnam
-took prayer out of schools in 1962
-took the 10 Commandments out of office buildings
-brought homosexuality into mainstream society
-whine that God is brought up too much in society
I have heard Baby Boomers themselves admit that their generation destroyed America.
Actually we never had prayer in school. Infact I remember being taught evolution in 6th grade back in the 30s.
There was always drugs, infact when I was born drugs were LEGAL. Since they are illegal now everyone wants to use drugs. if it was legal again, it would die down in use like before.
I don’t remember people spitting on soldiers who came back from WW2 but we did have draft dodgers.
10 commandements are allowed in private office buildings, just not government ones. Aslong as no one is shoving there religion on others.
Homosexuality was actually pretty common, there were even gay bars and clubs.
God is brought up more than in the 50s. TV never said God. Remember leave it to beaver and Dennis the Menace? God is never mentioned

Well if they themselves have admitted it. Then I’d say yes they are to blame for the decline.
Baby Boomers as a group are the most self serving, selfish, and destructive generation in generations. They have done more to wash away decency, needed morality, and freedom then any other generation in a very long time. When Rome fell and was conquered it was because a generation like this came along.
What other generation would be hippies first and then become ass hole, sell outs next without skipping a beat? Then when they become these asshole sell outs they try and lecture the rest of the world on how to run thier lives and how to run this world?
They are a generation that should live in shame of the way they have behaved and voluntarily hand over thier voting rights for life.
Nonsense. Baby boomers served in Vietnam as well as protested it. Just like some of that Greatest Generation protested our entry into World War II. This Jewish baby boomer was in elementary school in 1962 being forced to say Christian prayers. In 2007, my son was being led in them by his football coach at a public school. The only difference is that now they sanction Christian clubs in schools based on Supreme Court decisions. I don’t think homosexuality was discovered by baby boomers or began to start to kind of be widely accepted until my kids’ generation, and my kids could be more accepting. People of that Greatest Generation have cared about separation of church and state since before I was born, and taught me about its importance in school. Baby boomers tended to wind up, in the 1980s, being the materialistic conservatives they hated when they were teenagers.
And America hasn’t been destroyed. Where do people get these ideas?
Interesting prospective you have I’ll give you that and I’d like to no to everything you said but I can’t.
You do have a point about the increase of drugs coming into this country however drugs were here before the Baby boomers with heroin, and cocaine.
I believe it was a few conservatives that took the 10 Commandments out of schools and public buildings like this Newdow-(or something like that). The courts seem to be listening to this one man and not the majority of this society regarding God.
I’m thinking if Vietnam wasn’t a political conflict-(not declared a war) G.Is wouldn’t have to come back to America on drugs because they had to get permission before they could fire on the enemy and the conflict would has ended much sooner.
No, baby boomers shouldn’t take all the blame for the destruction of America today. I think American culture in general is what’s the real problem. The idea of freedom, which is how homosexuality and drugs were tolerated, and capitalism is destroying society. American values and attitude need to be changed too.
No, they were just trying to fix the decline in society caused by religion.
