I don’t know where this information comes from. But I am wondering how well they teach youth in
the south now. As I would definitely be suspecting the educational system there for not providing
the education they did in the past. We all hear of the ‘dumbing down of American youth, and per-
haps, they have focused on the southern children more intently. But actually, I believe this is happ-
ening all over the land. WIth cut backs, there is not enough attention being given our children to
at least learn what my generation did, as children in school. At least, it was important, that we knew
how to spell and write our names.

I don’t think it’s too valid to make *generalizations* of that nature.

What woman are you referring to? the Demographics have changed tremendously since then.

    HAHAHAHA!!!! BULL…………………….

Oh, excuse me, that wasn’t nice. This from Georgia, land of 1.5 million – - – only 15 last names?

I don’t know about the mentality but the maturity of people at a younger age was , to my observation, much more advanced.
But then society expected the youth to take on the trappings of adulthood at a younger age. Today it is very difficult financially for the young to get on with adulthood.

what does health care to age 26 mean?

I’m not sure what you mean by mentality. If you mean intelligence, and your statement is true, then I would say the school system, along with the parents have failed. In my experience, there are 18 year old women today, just as there was 50 years ago, who far exceed some 26 year old women in intelligence, and world awareness. There are also some 18 year old women today, just as there was 50 years ago, who, well let’s just say, have a long way to go in the intelligence and world awareness areas. I think it really depends on the individual and what their parents and their schools reinforce as being important.

We may notice more dumbing down of people today because there are so many more people. I would agree that generally speaking, both parents and schools need to do a better job at preparing children for a smaller world, and a global economy and work force.

The computer age happened. We don’t have to seek knowledge from volumes of library books. What ever’s on Google is what we believe.

No one has to be cautious or plan ahead anymore. Kids now have a false-security. As long as they have the cell phone charged, it’s like having a sentry with them at all times.

We don’t remember phone numbers, addresses or much of anything because it’s all stored in our hand-held devices. If we lost them, our minds would be blank.

I think your brain may be splintering as we speak boy. 50 years ago there were damned few women going to college much less out demonstrating their brilliance. Where did you get these numbers?
    Pulled them out your what????

What is the question? Obviously after reading your profile this is a trolling statement.

Because for the past 30 years people have been babying and hovering their kids and not letting them learn things by life experiences.
